'Sherlock' Season 4 Updates & Spoiler: Show's Greatest Villain Hunts Sherlock; What Cumberbatch Says About Cancellation Rumors

The latest "Sherlock"  teaser is making fans anticipate seeing the series back on screen in 2017.  The franchise guarantees the duo having more serious concerns as they come across villains that are stronger and more devious that before.

Toby Edward Jones, (Culverton Smith), is the ghastly villain in "Sherlock" Season 4.  The producers brilliantly presented his uniquely unbecoming presence irritating  "Sherlock" and Dr. Watson.  Smith storms the series with grisly character, his sarcasm diabolical and schemes fatal.

The Sherlock Season 4 production is also a great relief among those who waited long for its production.  The arrival of the new baby in Mary and John's life is also an exciting event.  It has also been reported that Mary Watson's pregnancy changes the direction for Dr. Watson and the detective.  Fans are hoping, though, that the one tagged as the darkest scientist/villain will not be Mary's prenatal doctor.

In "Sherlock" Season 4, Sherlock is pretending to be suffering from a rare health condition.  He gets to convince everyone, including his genius friend, Dr. Watson that he is just counting the days.  He does this to draw the psycho counter-attacking Smith to reveal all his evil plots and deeds.

The latest "Sherlock" Season 4 franchise could also mean there will be no Season 5.  Steven Moffat says the fourth tranche could be the last one, but this statement is not yet final.  It may take few years of rest before another season comes.  Cumberbatch is confident, though, that the best episodes on Season 4 will be so great that if it is shown, the producers will find it difficult not to have a next season.

As the show runner says, "Sherlock" HAS the capacity to run forever. Given that the "Sherlock" brilliant angles penned by Arthur Doyle remains to be in season despite being written in back 1913. "Sherlock" premieres on January 2017.
