According to Aussie Network News, the show creator and writer, Michael Hirst already confirmed that Travis Fimmel is still part of the upcoming season. His confirmation debunks the reports that Ragnar Lothbrok will die in the current season.
Aside from this, there are rumors that Lagertha will also die. In the finale of the "Vikings" Season 4, Lagertha was stabbed in her chest, which prompts the reports that she will die. In addition, Winnick's character was not featured in the flash-forward scene, which intensifies those speculations that the character is dead.
However, according to Latin Post, there is no truth to Lagertha's death reports. Hirst claimed that someone in New York told him that he could kill any male characters but he needs to keep Lagertha alive, or else the show is in trouble. The showrunner added that he is taking that warning seriously so he is keeping Lagertha alive.
On a side note, for those waiting for the next episodes of "Vikings" Season 4, Rollo is set to return in episode 13. The Siver Times has said that he will look for his nephew Bjorn and old friend Floki. So, he will follow them in the south.
Meanwhile, Lagertha is ready to take her revenge and recover Kattegat from Aslaug. The report notes that the former has an advantage over the latter.
"Vikings" Season 4 Episode 13 "Two Journeys" airs on Wednesday, December 14. Meanwhile, "Vikings" Season 5 is expected to premiere in 2017.
