Techies are anticipating a lot of great new features for the upcoming iPhone 8.

Though Apple hasn't given much word on the actual iPhone 8 specs just yet, rumors have begun circulating and spreading word that the upcoming Apple flagship smartphone just might be made up of all glass to give the iPhone 7 follow-up a sleeker, edgier design.

Though many wonder whether it may be a bit dangerous to have the iPhone 8 made up entirely of glass, reports suggest that Apple may try to incorporate the sapphire crystal from the Apple Watch to the upcoming iPhone. If that's too expensive for Apple, the Cupertino-based tech company could also go for glass sheathed in Phire, Gorilla Glass Makers Corning's newest scratch resistant material that's currently in development.

Rumor also has it that the new iPhone 8 would get a curved, either at the edges or in its entirety. There's been a lot of hype for curved edge gadgets recently give the Samsung Edge Hardware's success and some seem to predict that Apple could join in the bandwagon soon as well.

Aside from that, the iPhone 8 may also use OLED technology for its display, keeping the smartphone further ahead from Apple's regular LCD screens. If the tech mogul would continue and make the iPhone 8 an all-glass smartphone, chances that Apple would also incorporate OLED technology for the smartphone's screen becomes even higher as the glass screens need the display to balance the weight of the glass body of the iPhone.

A leaked patent for the iPhone has also led some to believe that Apple would be using touch sensors to replace the existing UI of the current iPhone generation in the new iPhone 8. Fingerprint readers and impressive pulse reading sensors are expected to appear on the phone.

According to Forbes, all of the great features for Apple's upcoming smartphone may come at a hefty price for varieties intended for the high-end market while the low-end variants retain their entry-level price tags as iPhone 8 price leaks continue to circulate around the internet.
