'Lost' Castaway Recut Trailer; Life On The Island Was Not What Fans Thought It was? Watch Trailer Here
Recut trailers have always been around on the internet, serving a fresh, unexpected view of certain movies and series. This time, the classic TV drama series "Lost" gets the recut trailer.
Posted by Gabriella LoBue on Vimeo, the recut trailer shows "Lost" as like a typical romantic comedy high school series full of sass, drama, flirtations, and 2000s pop music from Beyonce and Britney Spears. The trailer centered on the longstanding love triangle between Jack Sheppard (Matthew Fox), Kate Austen (Evangeline Lilly), and Sawyer Ford (Josh Holloway) with Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (Jorge Garcia) as the comical side character relief.
The trailer contains the formula of placing side by side the serious events with cheerful sound effects and pop songs. Instead of showing frustrations of being lost in the island, the cast seems to have enjoyed some fun and a little drama. This is way too far from the serious and sometimes confusing tone the show has set.
It is unbelievable that the show has already been six and a half years since audiences left the island for the last time. Despite the controversial and polarizing ending, "Lost" still lingers in the mind. A debate is still happening among its fans about the merits of its controversial finale - which was almost perfect or way too pretentious.
Lost's most devoted fans continue in attempting to discover its unsolved mysteries and questions. Is it really the afterlife? Or just a metaphor of everything? The debate still continues. The series "Lost" aired a total of 121 episodes in a span of six seasons, which ran from 2004 to 2010. The show was famous for its cliffhangers and unanswered questions, which both made fans excited and angered.
Its creator, JJ Abrahms, is busy with news shows like Westworld and Lost in Space. It is a remake of the classic TV series that would be premiered on Netflix. So far, the video already garnered 74.9 thousand views in just a span of two days. So if fans still want to relieve the fun (and frustrating) times of Lost, this recut trailer is for them.
