Take A Detailed Look At The Graphics Improvements On The Crash Bandicoot Trilogy Remastered
As of late, Naughty Dog has best been remembered for titles like The Last of Us and Uncharted, but fans haven't forgotten about the title that truly made Naughty Dog the gaming giant that it is today, Crash Bandicoot. The Playstation Experience announced the release of a remastered edition of the first three Crash games for the PS4, and thanks to Digital Foundry, fans can take a closer look at the graphics comparison between the original and the upcoming remastered version.
During the PSX, players were able to test out two sample levels that the company has already worked on, and it's said to have a "CGI-animated presentation" that is very close to that of Ratchet and Clank. The game brings players back to the classic platformer elements of Crash Bandicoot, and at the same time adds more textures and shadows to the character to make him a bit more modernized.
There have also been improvements made on the environments that incorporate advances in game engineering, and Naughty Dog has also added some dynamic lighting to make the game look more detailed than its predecessors.
Some elements have also been moved around in order to give the game a whole new feel for players of the classic games, but at the same time also introduces Crash Bandicoot to a whole new generation of gamers.
With the Naughty Dog releasing some very serious and gritty titles over the recent years, fans are happy to see the developers harkening back to their original roots of whacky and whimsical characters. Maybe fans can even look forward to another Jak and Daxter game down the line.
No official release date has been announced for the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy - or rather, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy - but it's sure to come out sometime in 2017.
