End Of The World News: Earth To Collide With An Unseen Celestial Object? Is It Nibiru Or A Massive Asteroid?
An unidentified object is possibly hidden somewhere on the fringes of the solar system. This exciting but startling development is published in two studies, which hypothesize the existence of a massive planet that is ten times the mass of Earth. This spells an end of the world scenario for Earth.
Dubbed Planet Nine (sorry Pluto), this celestial object is believed to be 70 times more distant from the Sun than Earth. According to the two studies, Earth is facing a doomsday scenario due to the gravitational pull of Planet Nine.
The first study was from planetary scientists Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin who are from the California Institute of Technology. Their study posited that Planet Nine's expected inclination will generate a wobble in the sun and could cause the destruction of the solar system and a disaster for planet Earth.
The second study highlighted the impact of Planet Nine on the cosmic ballet of four minor objects in the Kuiper belt. Lead author Renu Malhotran and colleagues have more specific estimates for the mass and orbit of the ninth planet. They revealed the apocalyptic threat posed by Planet Nine to those planets that are still around the Solar system including Earth.
Planet Nine threatens a very violent future for the solar system that could wipe out the planets around it. The fates of solar system bodies are in analogue with Planet Nine. Earth is facing a major catastrophe and is doomed to oblivion.
The two papers have no physical observations of the planet yet. They based their hypotheses based on the way dwarf planets and other objects in the outer solar system move. They blamed the disturbance felt by these celestial objects to something huge but hidden sitting out there. Planet Nine is around 200 to 300 times as far away from the sun as Earth. It is still impossible to be spotted by the most powerful telescopes.
