Monster Hunter XX Revealed Its New Renkin Style, New Monsters And Updated Gameplay In Three-Minute Trailer

Capcom recently released Monster Hunter XX. A new three-minute trailer has just been launched showing a revision of Monster Hunter X as one of Monster Hunter Generations for the Nintendo 3DS. The trailer is showing wide-ranging gameplay footage and a pristine Hunter Style, the Renkin Style.

Famitsu, a line of Japanese video game magazines published by Enterbrain, Inc. and Tokuma, have some information about some of the newest monster. Monsters have been updated to the newest generation of gameplay. After using the barrel, players have three buttons option. These are A, X or Y.

The Renkin Style or Alchemy Style spotlights on creating the various special items. This is a different style of hunting that supports focal point. Players can pack and fill each stock to use a Great Alchemy barrel items and it has a maximum of five stocks loaded up. The new monsters with special names are Ouma Diablos, Scorching Blade Glavenus, Silver-Tipped Gammoth. Clairvoyant Mizutsune, and Azure Electric Master Astalos.

Ouma Diablos changes color when in rage and equipped with new moves like burrowing, jumping, and thrusting from the ground. The Hellblade is Deviant Glavenus which has a fire sword-like tail and emerges in Generations.  After surviving in ruthless cold environments for ages, Silver-Tipped Gammoth has a hard-edged body. Clairvoyant Mizutsune blue bubbles upgraded and became more powerful. Azure Electric Master Astalos has cloaked in green electricity bolt that changes color to blue.

These are the items players can make through Rekin Style and one-time alchemy. Renkin Food can be eaten faster and boost out stamina than ordinary food. Rekin Hunter Arts Whetstone gives the temporary effect of raising fill rate of Hunter Arts Gauge and at greater rate sharpening weapons. Renkin Hunter Arts Bullet works with a special bullet for Bowguns and fills up the Hunting Arts Gauge. Renkin Hunter Arts Bottle has a special bottle for Bows and plugs up the Hunting Arts Gauge when hits enemy.

Items from Renkin than can be used twice are Vitality Medicine/Immunizer and Sonic Bomb. For loading up three times, the items are Renkin Earplugs and Renkin Speed Medicine. Items may use four times are Renkin Slick Increase and Bazooka. Renkin Healing Barrel and Spirit-Up Ball can be used for five times.

The new gameplay features Style Power Up, Guild Style, Striker Style, Aerial Style, Bushido Style, Brave Style, Alchemy Style, Felyn Hunter, and Palicoes. The Alchemy Style enhances Style Power states further up to four levels and producing alchemy items. Felyne Hunters got a new support type called Beast which enhances close range attacks and has three power-up phases. The Monster Hunter XX will be released in Japan on March 18, 2017, for Nintendo 3DS.
