President-Elect Donald Trump Remains 'Celebrity Apprentice' Executive Producer: How Much Does He Stand To Earn As EP
Following a 2-year break, "Celebrity Apprentice" will be returning with President-elect Donald Trump as executive producer returning next year with Arnold Schwarzenegger. While Trump promised to take only $1 from the $400,000 annual salary of the President of the United States, he will be earning more from the "Celebrity Apprentice" TV show.
In an exclusive report by Variety, MGM confirmed that Trump continues to be an executive producer in the credits of "Celebrity Apprentice" TV show. The credit excerpt will start with Mark Burnett, the "Apprentice" creator, following Trump, then Arnold Schwarzenegger, another executive producer apart from Eric Van Wagenen and Page Feldman.
NBC renewed "The New Celebrity Apprentice" for 8 more episodes. While MGM did not comment on how much Donald Trump would receive for the new season, he previously had 50 percent stake in the previous "The Apprentice" along with payments for international edition and Martha Steward spinoffs. Reports said that President-elect Donald Trump will be receiving per-episode pay in the new season of "Celebrity Apprentice" show. The initial agreement was that NBC will pay the production company for copyrights in broadcasting the show, then the production company will compensate executive producer fee to the EPs.
The figures of how much Mr. Trump would receive from being an executive producer of "Celebrity Apprentice" remains a mystery, The Wrap consulted several experts' opinions. According to the experts, Trump may well be receiving mid to high 5 figures for each episode as a passive EP. This usually includes limited to no work on the actual pre and post production.
