‘Madam Secretary’ Season 3 Episode 9 Spoilers, News & Updates: Elizabeth Is Heading To The Middle East?

In the upcoming episode, 11 of “Madam Secretary” Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) will try to prevent a war when Israel threatens military action against Iran, while Russell’s (Zeljko Ivanek) life hangs in balance after a heart attack. And of course, a surprise for all fans, Henry’s (Tim Daly) niece Sarah (Emelyn Daly) will return as a guest star.

According to Broadway World, Elizabeth, the Secretary of State will battle office politics as she will negotiate global and domestic issues, at work as well as at home. Elizabeth, a former CIA analyst will return to the public eye at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine). The President asked her to return because he strongly believes in her deep knowledge of Middle East and her ability to think outside of the box. Her team consists of her Chief of Staff Nadine Tolliver (Bebe Neuwirth), Jay Whitman (Sebastian Arcelus) her policy advisor, the man behind her speeches Matt Mahoney (Geoffrey Arend), press coordinator Daisy Grand (Patina Miller) and her assistant Blake Moran (Erich Bergen).

According to Breathe Cast, Russell Jackson will try to convince Henry McCord to contact his old friend in the Air Force convince Congressman Pearson into supporting President Dalton in the House’s election vote while Elizabeth is dealing with Israel’s threat against the military action against the Iranians. In episode 8, President Dalton discovered critical information that will put U.S. deal with Iran at risk. However, the American Ambassador Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews) will leave the show soon, it is still unknown how the character will be killed off.

According to EconoTimes, episode 9 titled “Snap Back” will feature Iran’s response to a violation of the peace deal. Because of their response, Elizabeth will head to the Middle East to handle the situation and stop Israel’s threats against Iran, however, the United Nations won’t be pleased with her involvement and she might get into trouble. While the story evolves, Stevie will need something more than a family name to get her into Harvard Law and she will ask Russell for a recommendation letter.
