Maisie Williams Becomes The Latest Victim Of Online Hacking; Nude Photos Of 'Game Of Thrones' Star Leaked

Private photos of 19-year-old Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark in the top rating fantasy drama television series "Game Of Thrones", have been leaked to Reddit, crafting rumors all over the internet. One of the photos shows a topless Williams on top of a rock alongside two friends in skimpy clothing.

According to Maisie Williams' rep, who confirmed with Page Six that the photographs were authentic, the images were shared from the actress' social media account. He laid emphasis on the notion that the images were not explicit, and that they only showed photos of Williams and her close friends at a spa during their Japan trip.

The British actress recently went to Japan to campaign against dolphins used in shows and the hunting of other aquatic animals. She is the latest celebrity to join the cause to protect dolphins.

Maisie Williams' rep also noted that the images were still adhering to the standards of Facebook regarding the prohibition of nudity in photos, as they were not revealing much of the actress' physique. He, however, did not make a comment on how the photos leaked to Reddit, or whether Williams would take any legal action for the incident.

The nude photo-leaking case of the Maisie Williams was immediately compared to other female victims of hacking, including "The Avengers" star Scarlett Johannson in 2011 and "Hunger Games" lead Jennifer Lawrence in 2014, as recalled by E! News. The remarkable words of Johannson were highlighted, saying "Just because you're in the spotlight or just because you're an actor or make films doesn't mean you're not entitled to your own personal privacy."

Lawrence was also quoted with her words "It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting.", who subsequently became an advocate of both male and female victim of such harassment.
