Study Shows ‘Eating Nuts’ Significantly Decreases Risks Of Heart Ailments, Cancer, Diabetes, Obesity, Stroke and Respiratory Diseases
As what researchers found out in their scientific studies, "eating nuts" lowers the risk of cancer, cardiovascular ailments and other diseases.
Scientists say that a handful of the delicious snack can thwart away heart ailments by 30%, cancer by 15 percent and premature deaths by 22 percent. The study further stated that 20 grams a day is equivalent to one handful of nuts.
"Eating Nuts" will cut the risk of certain diseases like respiratory ailments by 50 percent and diabetes by 40 percent. This study is led by scientists and researchers from the Imperial College of London and the University of Science and Technology in Norway. The data is published in BMC Medicine journal, as reported in an article from Science Daily.
Dagfin Aune, study scientist stated that there were significant drops of data from a wide range of diseases as a result and publication of worldwide participants and volunteers. The study involved 819,000 people. This cluster includes 12,000 samples of heart ailments, Stroke cases have 9,000 volunteers, 18,000 persons with cardiovascular disease and cancer and more than 85,000 deaths.
The comparison of data to people who "eat nuts" regularly to "non-nut eating" participants indicated the risk of specified diseases is much lower than that of those who are not "eating nuts".
