No one would miss a Giraffe, with its long vertical length, it is just impossible. If one sees one, necks will be strained as people needs to raise up their head just to focus on their faces well. If one wouldn't miss a Giraffe, certainly one would miss a Giraffe now that it is facing a silent extinction.

Giraffe has a 155,00 headcount during the 1985 and yes one could just imagine where they are right now but despite this big figure the decline in their population is more shocking. The numbers of the Giraffe in 2015 dropped to 97,000 which was reported by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

The reason behind the extinction is the killing for their meat, civil unrest, and habitat loss for the Giraffe. As the population of the human beings increase, it looks like the population of that majestic animal goes on the opposite way.

Giraffes has had it hard this past few year but it looks like it's not the only species that is in danger. One of the species in danger is the African grey parrot, classified already as endangered and this bird, that used to be a pet, might not be ever seen again. Also, on the endangered list, 85, 604 species are included and 27, 307 of it might soon fall under the category of extinction.

Despite this problem, for the case of the tall creatures Giraffe, there might be a solution for that. According to an article , if it can be related to the Southern African strategy who is keeping a high number of Giraffe it is possible. The management of their game parks which attracts tourist can help attract attention about the issue and surely the species will benefit from it. With the right conservation efforts, as stated, it is possible, and ensuring that they will live in the wild is most probable.

Giraffe and the other species might be experiencing a decline in the population right now but the humans will make effort to help them get back up on their feet. Animals and humans coexist and there are a lot of humans who cares deeply for their conservation.
