Exciting 'Halo 5' Expansion Out Now, Launch Trailer Released! Monitor's Bounty Update Out
A massive update for "Halo 5: Guardians" on the Xbox One and for the "Halo 5: Forge" on Windows PC has been released by the 343 Industries. The update includes more than 650 new items to utilize in the map as well as new mini-games. But such does not conclude the 'massive update' boasted by the company.
343 Industries refers to the all new scripting feature that completely changes the Forge mode into an all new powerful toolset subbed as "Monitor's Bounty" update due to adding new weapons, map options, and skins. In addition to that, they have also implemented an observer mode. However, the highlighted feature of "Halo 5" is that 343 now enables users to script custom content into their Forge maps. Yes, they are referring to Garry's Mod-style modding now, as reported by Gamespot.
With this feature, the player can do script modifications for up to 64 different objects all at the same time, with up to four actions per condition and three layers of script activation- map level, script level and object level. In simpler terms, players can now create their very own mini-game variants.
A demonstration was made available through the new Battle Golf mode that 343 came up with, along with returning modes such as the Race Mode from the previous "Halo" games that Bungie made. The trailer below provides what Battle Golf mode looks like along with the additional Race variant, skins, maps and assassination animations with the update trailer below.
"Halo" now made it easier to scout out the maps players want to play and when they want to play them as another new feature was added which is a custom browser for both PC and Xbox One users. Specifically, a new auto-save feature is available when using the Xbox One and when there is online connection while working on a new Forge map. So there are no more worries in losing the saved games, according to Twin Finite.
Lastly, players can now gift cash shop Req packs to their co-players. The Monitor's Bounty update is available right now for "Halo 5: Guardians" on the Xbox One and the Forge edition on PC, as reported by Cinema Blend.
