Meghan Trainor Cancels Remaining 2016 Tour Dates Due To Illness & Strick Doctor's Orders; List Of Canceled Tour Dates Here
Meghan Trainor shared the sad news for her fans on Thursday. The 22-year-old singer announced the news via an uploaded photo on Instagram where she revealed that she has been put on 'strict vocal rest' by doctors for the foreseeable future after falling ill.
The unfortunate news was shared after the singer was too ill to perform in Boston, Massachusetts, shortly after announcing the Grammy Award nominees on CBS This Morning.
"I posted last week that I wasn't feeling great, but was powering through the best that I could," Trainor wrote. "Unfortunately, I am not feeling any better and after leaving the doctor today, I have been put on a strict vocal rest for the next two weeks. This absolutely kills me because I was so excited to see all of you on the road," she said. "I'm going to go home and rest so I can get back to see you all as soon as I can. I love you so much and am so appreciative of your love and support that you constantly show me. You mean everything to me. Can't wait to see you in 2017! Love MTRAIN."
Said canceled tour dates are the following: 96.5-FM TIC All Star Christmas concert in Connecticut Thursday, at Z100's Jingle Ball 2016 in Madison Square Garden in New York City, Friday; HOT 99.5-FM's Jingle Ball 2016 in Washington D.C, Monday; Power 96.1-FM's Jingle Ball 2016 in Atlanta on Dec. 16; and Y100 Jingle Ball 2016 concert in Florida on Dec. 18, as reported by Pop Crush.
Trainor recently performed at 102.7 KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball 2016 in Los Angeles and at the 99.7-FM NOW! Triple Ho Show 7.0 concert in San Jose, California. Meghan seems would like to prevent what happened in 2015 where she also suffered a vocal cord hemorrhage and also contracted bronchitis, according to Daily Mail. That was a serious illness as she also had to cancel the rest of her MTrain tour to undergo vocal cord surgery.
Upon recovery, she told Billboard months later that after the successful operation and some voice training, she was "singing better than ever."
