Sony Interactive Entertainment recently released the awaited game, “The Last Guardian” on Dec. 6 and 7 in Japan, North America, and Australia. The said video game was received with favorable views because of a heart-tugging storyline even if players have voiced out frustrations over the glitches when it comes to its gameplay.

The world of “The Last Guardian” takes the playable character, portrayed by a young local boy, and his new found friend, Trico, a mystical half-breed beast on an adventure no one has seen before. The player will be immersed in the animation and will have to learn the basics to get through the game while controlling Trico as well. The first thing anyone would do when they are playing a video game for the first is to explore and study the controls.

To save a lot of time and trips, here are some pointers once starting the game. The developers of the game did not make the world of “The Last of Guardian” for the heck of it. Explore the surroundings and be wary of everything because everything will play a vital role for the boy and Trico.

Trico has ways to tip off the player may it be because he is annoyed or has seen something that the player has not spotted yet. Pay attention to his eyes as they change color depending on the situation. His eyes turn yellow when he is trying to be cautious and will become purple when aggravated—angry, scared, or even hungry. Trico can go mostly anywhere except tightt spaces thanks to his size, so pay attention as well to possible ledges and pathways that the player can pass through.

Levels can either be solved by the boy or by just Trico or sometimes it has to be a combined effort. Learn how to issue commands to Trico and make sure his relationship with the boy progresses so he will be submissive. The game though has programmed Trico to give clues to the boy despite having no other forms of communication between them, so even the player is in a pinch trying to solve a difficult pizzle, Trico will manage to help.

Make sure to play at a moderate span of time to not get weary of the immersive environment. There are tons of things to discover in the video game with the boy and Trico running around free. “The Last Guardian” will be released in Europe on Dec. 9.
