Overwatch Update, News: Beware The ‘Disconnect Loop’ Bug; Gamers Getting Dropped Out Of Their Ranks
Blizzard's been so busy with the Overwatch Christmas Event and update, the videogame developer's totally forgotten the fix the 'disconnect loop' glitch that's been troubling gamers for months on end.
According to a report by Trusted Reviews, Overwatch gamers continue to file complaints on social networking sites and Overwatch forums about a troubling bug called the 'disconnect loop' which continues to remain at large on Blizzard's popular first-person shooter game. The 'disconnect loop' bug disconnects gamers from their ongoing matches at random and even when they try to rejoin the fight, the bug takes them off immediately. The loop goes on and on during a match till the gamer is kicked out of the game. Because of the 'disconnect loop' bugs effects on a match, a few gamers have been dropping from their ranks in the new season of Overwatch Competitive Play while others have even been banned from the mode.
The issue has been around for quite a long time, with gamers bringing in complaints about the 'disconnect loop' bug in Overwatch Competitive Play and in other modes as far back as May, the release month of the game. However, though the bug persistently troubles gamers and brings down gamers' places in the Overwatch Competitive Play ranking, Blizzard has apparently refused to address the issue let alone fix it.
Now the bug continues wrecking havoc on gamer's matches, with more and more reporting the bug on the official Overwatch Forums.
"When I'm in rank I got disconnected and then it tell me to rejoin the match and I can't. This not the first time happening and I have no problems with my internet," user HanaSong wrote down today. "The first and second time I have to wait for about 4 hours before I can play rank again. And today I got disconnected again and I not sure what's going to happen to my account."
Though gamers have tried using the fixes that Blizzard has offered, nothing has worked and gamers' ranks have been taking a toll because of the Overwatch bug and the punishment system of the game. Hopefully Blizzard will finally respond to this pressing issue and obliterate the bug from the game.
