“The Last Guardian” was just released on Dec. 6 this year and people who have played the game have a lot of great things to say about it. After going through a series of multiple delays, the awaited video game has been finally released. For a video game that has build up anticipation for several years, it clearly was worth the wait.

A number of prominent gaming websites have ranked the video game high. IGN gave it 7 out of 10, while GameSpot gave the new game a whopping nine out of 10. Metacritic rated it with a fairly passing grade of 83 percent and TIME gave it a perfect score of five out of five.

Many have pointed out that though the video game has fulfilled the anticipated features, it suffered from technical difficulties. These glitches could have been sorted out before it was released by Sony given that it was actually delayed for seven long years. Players have pointed out the inconvenient controls and the awkward camera angles have made the game frustrating and horribly troublesome when it comes to gameplay.

On the other hand, the story and the computer graphics animation has made up for the things it was bad at. As expected from the developer SIE Japan Studio, who were responsible for creating great video games such as “Shadow of the Colossus”, “Echochrome”, “Gravity Rush”, and “Bloodborne”, this new Sony video game once again pierces through the hearts of players. The said game has effectively displayed a huge array of realistic emotions, which are creatively delivered through story that centers on the bond formed between a young boy and a mystical half-bird half-mammal creature named Trico.

The Last Guardian” was initially introduced back in 2005 and had gone through delays and even cancellations before it was finally given the go signal to push through. “The Last Guardian” is an action adventure video game developed by genDesign along with SIE Japan Studio exclusively for PlayStation 4. Already gaining hype for the teasers Sony released even last year, the video game was received with favourable reviews.
