Niantic Announces Big Changes With 'Pokemon GO', More Pokestops And Gyms Revealed

Niantic has just released an announcement that it has already launched its latest update for “Pokemon GO”. The said mobile game application has been updated to version 0.49.01 for Android devices and 1.19.1 for the iOS. The said update has opened up whole new features in the application that players are excited to see more of what the game can offer.

The update will enable trainers to transfer not just one but multiple Pokemon to Professor Willow. Aside from minor text fixes, Niantic has also updated the total candy count for the player’s Buddy Pokemon and the total kilometres the player and his buddy have walked. But wait, there is more.

Pokemon GO” has been updated to indicate Pokemon types in different gyms. Along with that update, Niantic has welcomed a new partner to the mobile application. Sprint has just been named the newest and first “Pokemon Go” partner in the United States. Sprint is a shop that specializes in selling mobile phones and wireless calling plans.

With Sprint becoming a partner, it has been revealed that its shops have also activated more gyms and Pokestops all over the United States. The “Pokemon GO” has expanded with 10,500 Sprint locations, including Boost Mobile and Sprint at Radioshack stores, being registered in the new update. Niantic has further announced that the said Sprint locations will be providing charging stations for “Pokemon GO” users.

It seems like the news does not stop there as Niantic has also let out word that they will be making more announcements for “Pokemon GO” soon. And soon is on Dec. 12. Fans are hoping that more features and monsters will be revealed for the popular mobile application games.

It will not be a surprise if Niantic announces another partner since it already collaborated with McDonalds and Starbucks for separate events. “Pokemon GO” was recently hailed as the biggest mobile game and mobile application of the year after millions have downloaded and used it. Up to this day, the said application is still racking in download numbers in digital stores.
