Xiaomi has been rumored to release a unique version of one of the best smartphones of the company, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Previous reports emerged stating that the Chinese manufacturer is working on a Xiaomi Mi Note 2 variant that will come with a flat screen. However, the speculation has been debunked recently by a statement from Xiaomi's Marketing Director Zang Zhiyuan.

As per a BGR report, Xiaomi Director Zhiyuan confirmed that the company will not be launching a special Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with a flat screen through the Xiaomi official blog. The reason behind is that releasing a variant with a flat screen that will also come with lower price might affect the sales of the current design of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in the high-end smartphone market. It may also hinder the entry of Xiaomi devices in the high-end smartphone market according to the company director.

It can be noted that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is the most expensive smartphone from Xiaomi to date. However, given its specs and design, the device still proves worthy of its $629.99 price tag. Continue reading below for a roundup of the powerful specs of Xiaomi Mi Note 2.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is powered by Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core SoC that comes with up to 6GB of RAM. It has 64GB and 128GB storage capacity selection and sports a 4,070 mAh battery. The device also embeds Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging feature, Android Headlines reported.

As for the design, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED dual edge curved display, UberGizmo reported. It is also packed with a 22.5MP back camera. And for its operating system, Xiaomi MI Note 2 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
