Final Fantasy XV News, Updates: Square Enix Game Gets Wacky Nissin Cup Noodle Commercial; Reviews For the Game Fairly Good

Nissin Cup Noodles has found a way to jump into the "Final Fantasy XV" hype. The company has just released a wacky new trailer that replaces Noctis and friends with giant-sized noodles, and the trailer ends with a logo for "Cup Noodle XV"

The video looks to be a re-edit of an original FF 15 TV spot, and it only lasts for about 15 seconds. In the wacky trailer, fans can see that Nissin has been able to add their signature instant ramen into important scenes in the game. Instead of Noctis and his gang huddling up together to avoid danger, they're huddling around a giant cup of ramen. The clip also has King Regis calling a cup noodle his son in place of Noctis. There's no telling what the marketing teams in Japan will think of next.

So far, Final Fantasy XV reviews have been fairly good. The game has been able to score 4/5 for Metacritic, 8.2/10 for IGN, and 8/10 on Trusted Reviews. Some players were happy to be brought back into a story that contained familiar elements from previous "Final Fantasy" games, and they have also noted that the game has good central characters as well as a good story and a great new combat system.

Some die-hard fans aren't that fond of the new fighting mechanics, but the game is said to contain a lot of "heart" that makes FF 15 worthy of its Final Fantasy moniker.

Final Fantasy 15 follows Noctis and his friends Ignus, Noctis, and Prompto, as they embark on a journey to reclaim the throne from the threat of the Imperial army. Some have noted that though previous games have had the player team up with a group of strangers to achieve their goal, this is the first time a "Final Fantasy" game has had a group of old friends banding together to save the world.

Final Fantasy XV is now available for purchase and can be played on the PS4 or Xbox One.
