"Longmire" Season 6 will wrap up the story of Walt Longmire in the small screens. Yes, many are still not ready to bid goodbye to Netflix's popular show but you should not worry because some of the stars have already new projects. According to reports, Adam Bartley a.k.a The Ferg is joining "This Is Us."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the "Longmire" star Bartley has landed a recurring role on the NBC family dramedy "This Is Us." The actor is set to play as Duke, who works as a horse stable.

Per Deadline, Bartley's character will be a good support for Kate (Chrissy Metz) on her difficult time. So, for those who do not want to miss Sheriff's Deputy Jim "The Ferg" Ferguson when "Longmire" ends, you can find him in his new role in "This Is Us."

Fans for both shows are ecstatic with this report. Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays Henry Standing Bear in "Longmire" also congratulations his co-star. In a tweet, Phillips expressed how proud he is for Bartley. "Incredibly proud and happy for you, my brother! Well done! It's a great show and you will make a great addition!" he wrote.

Casting Bartley also triggers a number of speculations. Since the new character is there to support Kate, does this mean that Toby is not doing it? Will Kate's new guy friend replace Toby?

Well, according to Asiastarz, Duke could be the person that Kate just needs at the time. Also, forming a love triangle involving Duke, Kate and Toby could be possible. Well, this is something that one should look forward to in the next episodes of "This Is Us."
