On Tuesday, the fourth proper zombie apocalypse game was released worldwide. Dead Rising 4 is an open-world survival horror and beat-em-up video game. This game got more zombie types, more weapons, and more chaos.

It was developed by Capcom Vancouver and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The Capcom Vancouver offered 12-minutes of gameplay at the 2016 Microsoft E3 conference. This version features the return of Frank West.

The game is perfect for the holiday. Instead of an outbreak in Las Vegas, the theme of this game was set in a Christmas setting in Willamette, Colorado. The photojournalist Frank West returned to Willamette during the holiday season which there's another zombie outbreak.

The story starts forwards a few months and Frank was hiding to save himself. His motivation for returning to Colorado is to find young activist and journalist Vicky and kill some zombies. He became a public enemy when one of his students, Vicky Chu, dragged him into revealing a secret group experimenting on zombies. Frank has 72 hours to figure out how to save some people and get out of dodge.

It is not a timer system or a story co-op gameplay. This fourth updated zombie outbreak features an open world setting. The best thing about this zombie survival game is its updated checkpoint and autosave system option.

Dead Rising let the players select a starting character with different focuses. These are Ranged, Healing, Melee, and Thrown. The player's missions are transporting a volatile substance around, smashing zombies, and simply saving his life.

Microsoft also confirmed that this version is a timed-exclusive on Windows 10 for 90 days and console exclusive for a year on Xbox One. The game is only a timed-exclusive for now but eventually it could make its way to PS4 and Steam. Its predecessors, the Dead Rising as an Xbox 360 exclusive and Dead Rising 3 as an Xbox One exclusive, until 10 months later when it released on PC.
