Groot will Fight Hulk, Vin Diesel Confirms

It looks like the protagonists are into some serious conflict. Vin Diesel confirmed that his character, Groot, will fight the Hulk. In his statement, the actor confirms: I know somewhere in the universe, you're gonna see Groot and Hulk battle. You can write it down somewhere, you're gonna see that poster: Groot vs. Hulk.

Although the actor did not provide elaborate details behind the fight, but he confirmed that there will be a battle between the two protagonists. Hulk should be a good candidate for a fight scene given the fact that he is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe. On the other hand, one should not look down on Groot because, despite his slouchy visage, he can surely regenerate his body and take control over plant life.

For movie buffs however, the news did not come out as a surprise. In The Incredible Hulk Annual #5 in the year 1976, it should be remembered that Groot is among the monsters that Green Goliath fought with. Aside from this, Groot also faced several battles both in comics and other forms of media, such as the animated series of the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Fans are hopeful that when MCU pushed through their plans of battling Groot and Hulk, they will choose a giant Groot instead of its baby-sized. Rumors have it that the fight might occur at the Avengers: Infinity War, which will be shown in the year 2018.

Up to now, it is unclear why the two protagonists had to clash with one another. But as early as now, several theories were made. For one, many think that Mad Titan will need the Infinity Stones to control their mind. Another theory is based on the fight between Thor and Iron Mar, which was basically due to a misunderstanding.
