‘Lara Croft Go’ News And Updates: It Comes To PS4, PS Vita And Steam; Still No Xbox Version?

"Lara Croft Go" has made a major entry into PS4, PS Vita, and Steam recently. The game, which is part of "Tomb Raider" series is considered to be a light version especially targeting smartphones, but considering the success of the game, the developer Square Enix has brought it to PlayStation. However, there is no information available about Xbox version of Lara Croft Go.

It was during the PlayStation Experience ceremony, Sony made an announcement that Lara Croft Go is being introduced in both PS4 and PS Vita. Contrary to other versions, the PlayStation versions of the game is a new expansion and named as "Mirror of Spirits". The move is expected to make it available to more platforms considering the success of the installment. Interestingly, Lara Croft Go, also released on Steam, which has Windows, Mac OS X, SteamOS and Linux versions.

The turn-based puzzle game is priced at $9.99 for all versions, but there are reports confirming that PS Plus members can avail 20% discount. It is important to note that the developer of Lara Croft Go is focused on the expansion Mirror of Spirits to Steam as well. The expansion would have new mechanics, puzzles, trophies, achievements and more. Interestingly, Square Enix has exclusively worked with another studio KO_OP for the expansion.

Lara Croft Go, which is initially released in September 2015 has received the best game award from Apple in 2015. It also won other awards like Apple Design Award 2016, The Game Awards 2015 etc. and found to have won the accolades of both critics and gamers alike.

It is expected that the expansion of Lara Croft Go for PS4 and PS4 Vita will help it to make an introduction in Xbox One as well. Though the Windows version of the game was already available, many people commented in the social media that Dec. 4, the release date in Steam, should be considered as the release date of PC version considering the fact that only a few users access Windows Store.
