Nearly 100,000 New Yorkers have agreed that they do not want Melania Trump in New York. The next First Lady of the United States is apparently shooed away by citizens urging her to pack her expensive bags and move into the White House along with her and Donald Trump's son Barron.

In a previous report by News Every Day, it was stated that the Republican team announced that Melania Trump will not move into the White House to join her husband, President Elect Donald Trump. This announcement undoubtedly sparked rumors of the first couple heading for a divorce, and Melania's status of being a remote First Lady was a sign of marital problems. However, this rumor was slammed when the Trumps confirmed that the reason for Melania Trump staying in New York with son Barron Trump was all in the name of good parenting.

According to Melania Trump, she wishes for her and Donald Trump's son to have a smooth transition despite the sure to be bumpy ride that the 10-year old will go through as his father assumes the presidency. That meant opting against pulling Barron Trump out of school in the middle of the school year. It seems that the family of President-Elect Donald Trump would join him as soon as the school year ends.

Despite the seemingly sincere reason behind Melania Trump's stay in New York as Donald Trumps moves into the White House, many New Yorkers want her out of the city. According to Inquisitr, the citizens of New York City refuse to pay $1 million tax per day protection cost that is required to have Melania Trump stay in the Trump Tower after Donald Trump moves to the White House.

Apparently, the announcement about Melania Trump and Barron Trump staying in New York City also came with the news that the security that will be required for the two will not come cheap. It is a given that there will be Secret Service agents and NYPD officers stationed to secure Melania and Barron Trump in the Trump Tower. This means that the protection will cost good tax money as well as cause a disturbance in local activity and induce unruly traffic as reported by Romper.

As a result, a Change.Org petition sprung to life asking the Governor of New York City, Andrew Cuomo and the New York CityMayor Bill de Blasio to opt against funding Melania Trump and Barron Trump's stay in the Big Apple. The citizens of New York City have made it clear that they do not want Melania Trump consuming tax money for her and Barron Trump's protection as per Global News. The 105,000 signatures on the petition serve as solid proof that many citizens want Donald Trump's wife to move in with him to the White House, along with son Barron Trump.

Apparently, one of the supporters of the Melania Trump petition says that her decision to decline the privilege of living in the White House is a personal choice. It only follows that the costs should be covered by the Trump Family and not by taxpayers.
