‘Arrow’ Season 5 Episode 9 Spoilers: Prometheus Figured Out The Secret Identities Of Team Arrow; Flashpoint Erases Laurel Lance’ Death?

"Arrow" Season 5 episode 9 spoilers suggest that Felicity Smoak will find a link that connects Prometheus to Oliver's past. The official synopsis suggested that following Prometheus' attack on Curtis Holt, Oliver Queen will find out that the villain has learned the real identities of Team Arrow. Interestingly, speculations also surfaced claiming that "Arrow" Season 5 episode 9 will drop a huge clue about the real identity of the hooded big bad.

In the "Arrow" Season 5 episode 9 synopsis reported by FabNewz, it was revealed that Felicity will be working with guest star Tyler Ritter who will play as Detective Malone. Both will reportedly present a connection of Prometheus to Oliver's history which could be the key to solving the mystery behind Prometheus' identity. However, it was not confirmed whether "Arrow" Season 5 midseason finale will completely unmask the mysterious villain.

"Arrow" Season 5 episode 9 spoilers also claim that the midseason finale will set the stage for the return of Laurel Lance in January 2017, BleedingCool reported. Fans started speculating that Flashpoint may have something to do with Laurel's comeback but nothing has been confirmed as of this posting. The episode that will highlight Laurel's return is titled "Second Chances."

Meanwhile, it may not be surprising that this season's big bad knows the identities of Team Arrow because of Artemis. "Arrow" Season 5 episode 7 left a cliffhanger before The CW crossover special where Artemis was seen on the rooftop with Prometheus. Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim, however, clarified that Artemis only made an alliance with the mysterious hooded villain in the latter part of the show.

"If you view the end of 506 and her final scenes with Oliver as, 'Oh, she's lying,' I think you see when she decided to team up with Prometheus," the executive producer revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Basically in the commercial break between Act 5 and Act 6 [of that episode], that's when she made the decision to join up with Prometheus," Guggenheim continued.
