'The Exorcist' Season 1 Episode 9 Spoilers, News & Updates Show is Back On December 9 After Almost A Month Without Airing!

In "The Exorcist" previous episodes, Angela (Geena Davis) is tormented by increasingly frightening nightmares, her husband is losing his mind slowly, her older daughter spends time in her room while her younger daughter is hearing strange noises from inside the walls. Father Thomas (Alfonso Herrera), Father Marcus (Ben Daniels), and Mother Bernadette (Deanna Dunagan) race against time to defeat the demon while the Rande family finds themselves drawn together in a conflict.

According to Screener TV, fans became nettled by Father Tomas’ actions and behavior. For the exorcist team, according to the original movie’s canon, one man has to be a seasoned professional while the other needs to be mired in amateurish behavior. Father Marcus is a man of strong will and stronger belief, willing to do everything he can in order to save one more child’s life, while Father Tomas remains confused and differ. Tomas is a young priest who didn’t need much convincing to sleep with Jessica (Mouzam Makkar) and break his vow as a holy man. Jessica is a married woman and when he was confronted by her husband, he was willing to fight him in his own church. Is Tomas a bad guy?

According to Yibada, episode 9 will be aired on December 9, 2016. It was delayed because of the Thanksgiving week. Instead of “The Exorcist”, Fox will air “Lucifer” season 2 episode 1 named “Everything’s Coming Up Lucifer”. While Father Tomas and Father Marcus rush to prevent a potential tragedy, Father Tomas is offered a life-changing opportunity. When the producer of the show, Jeremy Slater was asked about the expansion of the characters in the season he said this season will tell the entire story of Rance family possession, as the team is building a larger mythology.

According to International Business Times, Tomas and Marcus, with Angela’s help will manage to exorcise the demon from Casey’s body. But, the demon’s true target was Angela, and towards the end of the episode, the demon will manage to take control of Angela’s body. "The Exorcist" Season 1 episode 8 ended with Angela killing Chris. Jeremy Slater, the producer of the show revealed that Tomas and Marcus will be the spine of the show in season 2.
