The score in TV.com shows an average of 8.8 out of 10 from more than 12,300 votes. When Season 12 aired, "Criminal Minds" hit around 8.924 million viewers, at 11.42 percent less than the previous season's premiere.

The cast changes don't just affect the audience but the remaining cast as well. In an interview with TV Guide, Aisha Tyler said that the changes in "Criminal Minds" series can be difficult to adjust to. But she adds that the team is working together despite the changes, reassuring that in the real world, people come and go, so they adjust. But even as they loved what they had before, they are also loving the environ of the show now.
