Olivia Pope and the Gladiators are coming back to rock our television world on January 19, 2017. The director/Executive Producer of the series, Tom Verica, along with the genius writer Shonda Rhimes are preparing for next year's big event. Meanwhile, our last glimpse of Season 5 finale shows how the fierce Political Advisor Olivia, made it all the way to help the ex-wife of the love of her life. Republican nominee Mellie Grant achieved the highest post in Washington D.C. with Olivia's help. Mellie then picks Jake Ballard as her Vice President.
Picking Jake from the beginning annoyed Fitz Grant, mainly because he is Olivia's ex boyfriend. But in a professional talk, Liv' stood by Jake. According to the Political Advisor, Jake has several qualifying factors that perfectly fits for Mellie's Vice Presidential bet. And so it happened.
It was a roller coaster ride between Democratic aspirants Francisco Vargas along with his running mate Cyrus Beene. And the results can befollowed on the debut of the Season 6 entitled, "Survival of the Fittest".
There are speculations from the trailer that Mellie concedes from the race, saying she is done with the presidential post. Another scene shows two people entering a cabin only to discover dead bodies inside. When they went out and exited the cabin, the cabin exploded.
It was earlier noted that the Season 6 airing was stretched to give way for Washington to recover from giving birth. The original 22 episodes were capsulized to 16, giving more intense and compact scenes.
