BABYMETAL To Perform Guns N' Roses Japan Tour; Lands Opening Gig In Concert; Japanese Tour Dates Here!
Indeed, it is another milestone for Japanese metal group BABYMETAL. BABYMETAL has just released their sophomore studio effort, "Metal Resistance". In addition to just releasing an album, the group successfully landed the gig as the support slot for the legendary "Guns N' Roses," who is scheduled to tour Japan in January of next year.
BABYMETAL also landed all other gigs of the Japanese shows of the band (see tour dates below). BABYMETAL are famously known for their explosive live show complete with pyrotechnics and compelling choreography. Now fans are excited as to how Guns N' Roses and BABYMETAL will deliver a stunning live performance for the crowd.
"I am really happy that we've been confirmed as support on the upcoming Guns N' Roses tour. And it's happening in Japan!! We're going to create a live performance that shows how wonderful Japan is together with everyone in the audience on that tour," Su-Metal commented on the incredible opportunity, according to BlabberMouth.Net.
BABYMETAL is an all-girl-fronted Japanese heavy metal/teen-pop hybrid group features 18-year-old Su-Metal and 17-year-olds Yuimetal and Moametal, backed by a four-piece band.
Not only that, LoudWire also reported that BABYMETAL had another massive venture on the horizon to focus on. They were proudly chosen also to direct support for another one of the world's biggest rock bands. They will be the opening act for the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" in the U.K. starting Monday, Dec. 5. The J-pop teen metal group will perform seven shows with the band, including both England and Scotland through Dec. 15.
Meanwhile, according to Nerdist, BABYMETAL will be releasing a new 13-track live album, "Live At Wembley", on December 9 via earMUSIC/Edel. Available on December 30,a digital version will also be made. The live album will feature the exhilarating performances recorded at BABYMETAL's first-ever U.K. arena show, "Babymetal World Tour 2016 Kicks Off At The SSE Arena, Wembley", which took place in London on April 2.
In case you were not aware, the show lets BABYMETAL broke the record by being the first Japanese artist in history to perform a headline show at The SSE Arena, Wembley with an attendance of 12,000 people. In the said concert, BABYMETAL also broke the merchandise sales record of the venue. Not bad for a band of teenage girls.
Guns N' Roses have embarked on a massive world tour since reuniting with Slash and Duff McKagan,, which has featured a number of different openers, including Alice in Chains, Zakk Wylde, Lenny Kravitz and more.
