It was said by the KGI Securities Analyst that Apple suppliers have put into preparation a large upgrade that will set a record of 150 million units for the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in 2017. He noted that the device will be completely redesigned for high-end users. The OLED model will be highly demanded by high-end users given the fact that it will have a complete change in its design and also its new glass casing with a wireless charging on this device.

According to Mobilenapps, Ming-Chi Kuo, a long-time Apple analyst stated that one reason why iPhone is switching from a metal casing to a glass casing is to enable it with a wireless charging feature. "We believe one of the reasons why new iPhones will switch from metal casing to glass casing is to support wireless charging. In order to ensure a superior performance, we believe it is most appropriate for EMS suppliers to develop and make the wireless charger because then a comprehensive test can be conducted. As Hon Hai needs to deploy most resources to develop and produce OLED iPhone, we expect Pegatron will be the exclusive supplier of the wireless charger."

According to Yahoo Kuo is not expecting Apple to bundle a wireless charger to a 4.7-inch model. Kuo says this wireless charging may be ubiquitous in the year 2018 when its production price has being reduced. Apple has not released any information on a future iPhone but looking at history, the company won’t make any comments until next year.
