Stardew Valley Will Hit PS4 and XBox One in December. Cancels Wii U Port For Switch
Popular indie farming simulator game, Stardew Valley, will be heading to consoles this month. The game will be released to consoles on December 13 and 14.
Stardew Valley's developer, ConcernedApe announced that they have plans to porting the farming simulator for consoles. According to IGN, Stardew Valley will hit the PlayStation 4 on December 13 while XBox One while have theirs on December 14. Unfortunately, the developers canceled their plans in releasing the game on Nintendo Wii U. ConcernedApe announced at E3 this year that they'll be shifting their focus to Nintendo's upcoming console, Nintendo Switch.
Below is ConcernedApe's statement about their cancellation for the Wii U porting:
"Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch. I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch's unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley."

Earlier this year, Stardew valley came out to the public via the Steam platform for PCs. Stardew Valley is a farming simulator that lets players handle an old and rundown farm and restore it to its former glory. Players can interact with the villagers and raise crops in order for them to have money. Players can also enjoy wooing someone in the game.
Stardew Valley remained a PC-exclusive game via Steam until their developers announced that they'll be porting it to consoles in this year's E3 convention. There's no news as to when will they be releasing Stardew Valley for Nintendo Switch.
Stardew Valley will be available for PlayStation 4 on December 13 in North America and December 14 worldwide. The XBox One version will also be available on December 14.
