'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' Update: Captain America And Morrigan Back In Action; Team Battle 2 Versus 2 And No Assists?
The latest "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" extended gameplay trailer revealed two new characters. Fan favorite character, Captain America, is one of the two new characters seen in action on the extended gameplay footage. The other familiar MvC character reveal, for diehard fans of the game, is Morrigan from Darkstalkers.
The reveal took place on at the Capcom Cup 2016. The extra gameplay footage revealed Captain America and Morrigan tandem. The revelation may seem not very surprising for some fans as Cap and Morrigan are series regulars. However, these new confirmed playable characters in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" brought excitement and delight to the waiting fans.
It is worth noting to see that the super soldier's costume is not entirely influenced by his movie appearance. It appears to be a mix of his movie outfit and his featured classic suit featured on past MvsC games. Also, it's interesting to see Captain America's familiar play poses. Some of Cap's poses are clearly taken from the earliest Marvel vs. Capcom series which will make players have that classic feel of the game.
According to Game Informer, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be a 2 versus 2 battle and without the assist attacks. Players will have to choose only two characters from the roster and one Infinity stone.
Aside from Captain America and Morrigan's confirmed return, Mega Man X, Ryu, Iron Man and Captain Marvel were first confirmed part of the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" roster. The four characters were seen in action in the first "Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite" reveal trailer.
The excitement continues as fans wait for more character reveals. "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is coming to PlayStation 2, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2017.
