The Duggar Family News: '19 Kids And Counting' Family Plus One After Being Granted Custody Of Nephew Tyler Hutchins
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcome another member of the family that officially expands the "19 Kids and Counting" clan. The Duggars are now the permanent guardians of Michelle's 8-year-old nephew.
A number of girls are leaving the Duggars to build their own family. Jinger just recently married Jeremy Vuolo. That's another member off in the house. However, a new one is also joining the family.
Last November 14, an Arkansas judge granted Jim Bob and Michelle's request to be the permanent guardian of the latter's nephew, Tyler Hutchins. The judge believes that giving the Duggars the permanent guardianship is for the best interest of the eight-year-old boy, Daily Mail reported.
According to the report, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar took the boy after his mom, Rachel Hutchins, struggled to care and provide for him. Hutchins was "unemployed and homeless."
The Duggars welcome the new addition to their family warmly. Jim Bob and Michelle took the boy as their own. The little boy's mother is allowed to visit the little one at the Duggar's residence under supervision.
According to CBS8.com, prior to this announcement, the court documents obtained by ET revealed that the Duggars were granted temporary guardianship after the emergency petition on August 26. The same papers revealed that Hutchins is showing a pattern of behavior showing her incapacity in meeting her son's needs and safety.
InTouchWeekly added that the boy's mom is on probation for three years after being arrested for felony charges. Hutchins reportedly broke a tow truck business and stole a pocket knife. She initially gave the guardianship to her mom, Carolyn, who is Michelle Duggar's sister.
Unfortunately, Carolyn suffered a stroke and could not look after the child anymore. Jim Bob and Michelle then decided to take the child. Finally, the process has been legalized and the child is officially a member of the "19 Kids and Counting" clan.
Do you agree that giving the Duggars' the child's custody is for the boy's best interest? Will Jim Bob and Michelle be a responsible parent to the child? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
