More and more reports are claiming that Apple is releasing a new smaller iPhone, probably called 'iPhone 6s Mini' this year. Instead of simply continuing with the older iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C models, the company is expected to launch a brand new 4-inch iPhone.

According to a recent report from U.S. investment firm Zacks Equity Research, Apple is being "forced" by continued interest in smaller iPhones to launch a new 4-inch iPhone 6 for 2015.

The report, according to MyDrivers, added that Apple wants to sell at least 10 million iPhone 6s minis this year. The smaller iPhone is expected to be significantly cheaper than the regular iPhone 6 models.

A few days ago an analyst of research firm Cowen and Company had also noted that Apple is going to launch a 4-inch iPhone 6s mini this year, alongside corresponding 4.7-inch and 5.5 inch iPhone 6s models.

However, these are just rumors and as always you are expected to take these with a pinch of salt.
