"Outlander" follows the life of a service nurse back in 1945. The setting took place after the World War 2. During one of their travels, Claire Randal, starring Caitriona Balfe, discovered a mystical entry allowing her to transport 200 years backward. It was 1743 then. The history speaks of the people of Scotland duels over the dominance of the British. Claire met Jamie Fraser, a handsome, introverted man, played by Sam Heughan. The two nurtured a deeper attraction for each other, defying the era's they both belong with. The story is a thread to many conflicts, such as Claire, being married to Frank in present times.
The "Outlander" received several acclamations and nominations from different media entity. Caitriona Balfe for one got her Scottish BAFTA, aside from the show being nominated as the 2017 People's Choice Awards under the category of Favorite TV Show AND Favorite Premium Sci-Fi/Fantasy Series. It also bagged the "Most Exciting New Series and Most Bingeworthy Show on the top Critics' Choice Awards.
The story, the plot, culture, the way people dress up matched with colorful and fresh ambiance draws the viewers to be addicted to "Outlander", which began as a book, written 25 years ago. People were into the book, therefore, it has been sold in 42 countries for over 26 million copies translated to 38 languages.
The author, Diana Gabaldon now penned the 9th book and happy that she can tell the world how beautiful Scotland is, the place where she grew up.
"Outlander" is a compelling story of how a man conquers in the name of love. The exact screening is yet to be revealed but will definitely be shown up in the Spring of 2017.
