'Revelation Online' Release Date, Gameplay & Update: Most Anticipated MMORPG of 2017? Swordmage Trailer Revealed

The latest trailer for the upcoming MMORPG "Revelation Online" has been released and it features the game's glass cannon class, the Battle Mage. The video is definitely a step forward to prove that "Revelation Online" is a candidate to be the best MMORPG in 2017.

"Revelation Online" is slated for Western release by the end of 2016 or early 2017. The Free to Play Chinese Fantasy MMORPG is published by MY.COM which recently unleashed the latest trailer for the game featuring the Swordmage.

Every MMORPG has a glass cannon type character or class, and by glass cannon, it means that the character can deal massive amounts of damage to multiple targets at once by utilizing nuke type AoE skills. However, it comes at a price, these characters tend to be very fragile and can easily be disposed of if the opponent gets close enough fast. These glass cannon classes sometimes have a slow cast time which can be interrupted by the enemy, however, if the cast is successful, the damage dealt will be deadly. In the case of "Revelation Online," the Swordmage or Battlemage is their glass cannon as reported by MMORPG.

The Swordmage in "Revelation Online" utilizes thunder, ice and fire magic to demolish foes. The element the player prefers strongly influences the play style the player will have throughout the game. It follows that Ice magic can definitely deal damage, however, it is more of a disable skill with crowd control abilities. While Fire is basically the damage dealing element. The Swordmage can cast fire spells consecutively, with the second cast costing no mana.

It is evident that "Revelation Online" has prepared an amazing caster type class and this MMORPG is starting to look very promising. It is evident that the Swordmage has devastating damage abilities matched with crowd control skills to keep enemies at bay. However, to balance it out, the Swordmage is fragile and has little to no defensive abilities. The moment enemies successfully reach the Swordmage, death easily follows, therefore it is best to utilize the movement skills that the class has to evade enemy attacks and position oneself to safety.

Like in any other MMORPG, the mage class is valuable in parties with their AoE damage spells and crowd control abilities. As reported by MMO Examiner, The Swordmage can disable enemies from afar which allows party members to rain damage upon them from a safe distance. This glass cannon also has an ability to create a safe environment for the party to allow recovery between battles.
