Ed Sheeran's Face Sliced Open: Princess Beatrice to Blame?

Princess Beatrice was reported to have accidentally sliced open Ed Sheeran's face with a sword. The royal princess was 'inconsolable' after she swung the ceremonial blade over her shoulder, only to find out later that the singer was behind her. Ed Sheeran was rushed to the hospital for some stitches, but immediately returned to the party after.

Based on reports, Ed Sheeran, Princess Beatrice, and James Blunt were talking at the party when Blunt asked the princess to "knight" him. Princess Beatrice then lifted a ceremonial sword and gashed the singer's face.

Sheeran had to get some stiches due to the accident, although he still need to confirm or deny this report. The accident is said to have happened this month at the Royal Lodge, which is the home to the Duke of York. Sheeran is said to be with his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, during the party.

The princess is said to be "extremely relieved" after the singer went back to the party from the hospital. Beatrice was in the news earlier this summer after her split with his longterm boyfriend, Dave Clark. Reports said that Ed had to go back to the party to show the princess that he is okay.

The night after the said incident, Ed attended a gig at the London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. He gamely posed for some photos with his fans which were then uploaded online, therefore sparking speculations behind the wound. Some fans questioned where the wound came from, while others speculated that he had it because of too much boozing.

Apparently, this is not the first time that the singer had a scare with a sword. Last 2013, he admitted that he almost injured singer Taylor Swift with a sword that was given to him as a gift by Peter Jackson, the directory of Lord of the Rings.
