"The Walking Dead" Season 7, Episode 6: What Does PPP Stands For?
The sixth episode of The Walking Dead's seventh season has received mixed reviews from the fans, yet again. The show has been getting a lot of heat from both fans and critics alike since the seventh season started.
Critics complained that The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere was "too gruesome and gory" for television, while fans loved the said episode. On the flipside, some of the fans are getting weary of all the "character building" episodes the show has aired consecutively after its premiere.
The latest episode of The Walking Dead titled "Swear" gave fans the answer to Tara (Alana Masterson) and Heath's (Corey Hawkins) whereabouts. Fans can remember that the duo went out for a supply run nearing the end of the show's sixth season.
While it has been a few months since the fans saw both characters, Tara and Heath are actually gone for only a couple of weeks according to the show's timeline. During the course of the episode, fans watched as Heath grew hopeless in finding any more supplies to bring to the group.
Tara, on the other hand, remained confident and hopeful that they will find something before they head back to Alexandria. And for a moment, it seemed like Tara was right as they find an old military base.
Unfortunately, this is The Walking Dead, and nothing is as it seems. Tara and Heath soon learn (the hard way) that the base is overrun by walkers when they got surrounded. At the time, fans thought Heath lost his grip and run to save himself.
It was only near the end of the episode that fans were showed what actually happened: Heath got up one of the vehicles to avoid being eaten alive and luring as many walkers in his way as possible so Tara could escape.
Unfortunately, both of them were surrounded. It was also revealed that Tara was accidentally pushed over the edge of the bridge by one of the walkers. The river then washed her away near the Oceanside where Cyndie and Rachel found her.
When Tara finally got the chance to get back to the military base camp where she and Heath got separated, she learned that he was no longer there. Initially, Tara thought Heath was dead. However, tire tracks from the other side of the camp gave her a new hope that he survived.
Besides the tire tracks, Tara picked up a card with the letters PPP written on its side. This appears to be a key-card, but a key-card to where, exactly? And what does PPP actually mean?
Unlike the letters "A" and "W", this is the first time fans of The Walking Dead heard or seen the letters "PPP" on the show. This means that it certainly isn't a code between any characters.
This left fans mystified and bewildered. Naturally, several spoilers were up on the internet regarding the letters "PPP". One spoiler suggests that the Saviors saved Heath and took him back to the Sanctuary.
The key-card could be key to one of the Saviors' compounds. Remember, the Saviors like to brand their prisoners with initials. The letter P could be given to Heath, and that keycard could be the key to his cell.
While that theory is a bit far-fetched, there is another theory surrounding the letters "PPP". This theory suggests that Heath is letting Tara know where he is.
PPP is an abbreviation for "point-to-point protocol", which is often used when working with computers. PPP identifies the data link between two nodes. Thus, Heath using the term so Tara could find him.
It has yet to be confirmed whether Corey Hawkins' character lived or die. The showrunners are probably keeping their options open while Hawkins is busy with his new show.
However, if it really is Heath leaving these clues, then PPP could simply be his mark. He could simply be leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for Tara, leading her to his location, point-to-point.
This is not the first time fans encountered marks in the show. Morgan used arrows, Xs, and words such as "clear" to mark his whereabouts.
