The chapter of Debts, Drugs, and Rock and Roll has come to an end. Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was reported to have settled down the legal action taken by the rock band's former instrumentalist Chris Pitman.

Back in September, TMZ reported that Pitman was asking for compensation for the unpaid debt from his services he gave to the worldwide phenomenon group.

According to Pitman, Rose wrote him a promissory note of $125,000 the vocalist owe him for more than a year's worth of contribution to Guns N' Roses. The deadline of payment was supposed to be last October 2012 but Rose failed to follow.

This urged Pitman to take action from Rose's failure to meet the deadline and sued him for $163,000 now.

The gossip site also reports that the two had reached their settlement earlier this November and the case has now been dismissed. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed to the public but TMZ said that Rose did not really comply again as he only paid less $163,000 to settle down and finalize the suit.

Besides being an instrumentalist for the group, Pitman also served as the engineer for the band when they faced their up-and-coming years. TMZ also reported that Pitman suffered financial problems back in 2011.

He joined Guns N' Roses back in 1998 and performed with them as a second keyboardist, second bassist, and backing vocalist. He also added percussion and programming at the band's tour.

Initially, he would join the group in the 2016 comeback reunion lineup after Slash and Duff McKagan agreed to return. However, he backed out after calling the reunion tour just a cash mill that would play on nostalgic memories of fans.

Pitman later apologized for the remarks that made headlines. Yet again, he slammed the tour as an oldies reunion. He was replaced Melissa Reese on the 2016 tour.
