'Pokemon Go' Update: Best Pokemon You Should Start Collecting Before Gen 2 Is Released
Fans have already heard of how Niantic is most likely going to introduce 100 new Pokemon to the hit augmented reality mobile game, "Pokemon Go," anytime soon. Some even speculated that this major update that would release Gen 2 Pokemon to the game would come out this December, a great way to end 2016. Unfortunately, there is not one clear answer from Niantic themselves whether the second generation Pokemon would, in fact, come sooner or later.
The latest "Pokemon Go" update surely brought in more new trainers and somehow managed to lure the old players back in by releasing Ditto to the wild and made CP changes to some Pokemon. And since a hundred new Pokemon has been reported to come soon, the best thing trainers can do for now is to collect specific candies that will evolve some Pokemon to the unreleased second generation Pokemon. So here are the best Pokemon to collect.
Eevee
In the current "Pokemon Go" game, Eevee can be evolved into Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon. Now when the second generation Pokemon will be released, the bushy-tailed Pokemon may also evolve into Umbreon (Moonlight Pokemon) or Espeon (Sun Pokemon). The said new evolutions may cost 25 Eevee candies (similar to others).
Slowpoke
Once Gen 2 Pokemon will be introduced, Slowpoke can also evolve into Slowking (the other being Slowbro), adorably nicknamed the Royal Pokemon. It has a Shellder attached on the top of his head and with its bite, the venom will affect Slowpoke's brain, causing it to become highly intelligent and with extraordinary power. The more venom Shellder discharges, the more wise Slowking becomes.
Zubat, Golbat
Many hate catching Zubats in "Pokemon Go" as aside that it's very common, it also takes a lot of Pokeballs to catch them but if you do have a lot of them, you're in luck. With 100 Zubat candies, you can evolve it into Crobat with Inner Focus and Infiltrator as abilities.
Onix
Onix may not be that popular in "Pokemon Go" now but once the second generation will be released, it can evolve into Steelix for 50 candies. This Iron Snake Pokemon's body is "made harder than diamond by the iron it ingests when it eats soil. It's further strengthened by the pressure and heat underground."
Chansey
"Pokemon Go" Chansey may be rare at the moment and once Gen 2 update goes live, players may need to search high and low for more of this creature. With a hundred candies, Chansey can be evolved into Blissey, the Happiness Pokemon, with Natural Cure or Serene Grace for ability.
Poliwag, Poliwhirl
Before you reject Poliwag in the wild when playing "Pokemon Go," just take a note that it can evolve into Politoed with a hundred candies once Generation 2 becomes official (with Poliwrath being the other evolution). This new form actually loves to sing and when there's three of them, they sing in a chorus.
