Amber Heard Speak-Out For Violence Against Women: Is It The Unfinished Business With Ex-Husband Johnny Depp?
Amber Heard shared her experience being a victim of domestic violence in the previous years. Recently, she spoke out and condemns violence against women during the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence Towards Women".
On a Fox News report, Heard said that there is lots of shame attached when you are labeled as a victim of violence. The actress shared an emotional video on Facebook saying "It happens to so many women. When it happens in your home, behind closed doors, with someone you love, it's not as straightforward."
Amber is the ex-wife of Johnny Depp who struggled in a legal battle to finalize their divorce. She said that during her married life, she experience abused both physically and emotionally by the Johnny. At the end, the couple end of with a $7 Million settlement for their divorce.
The actor meanwhile is consistent denying such allegation of grave abuse towards Heard. He was in Lisbon performing with his band when Amber released a statement of the accusation following after the actress filed the divorce, reported on Variety.
As a result, the court ordered the actor to stay away at least 100 yards from the actress through a temporary restraining order. Depp's lawyer, however, said that Amber is just securing a premature resolution in terms of financial support by issuing a statement of the alleged abuse.
In the end, both of the stars issued a joint statement that their relationship was mature and unpredictable at the same time, in an August 2016 article by The Guardian. It also states that there is no absorbed physical or emotional harm from both.
