The 5.8 percent decline recorded by car sales last month is a triggering factor for automakers and dealers to increase their marketing efforts, according to Forbes magazine. The Black Friday weekend is the perfect opportunity for them to bring buyers into their showrooms.
Fortune magazine reported that U.S. automakers need a strong year-end push to flash out hefty inventories and supplies of unsold 2016 models sedans, compact cars, and sports cars. The auto industry needs more aggressive price cutting, which can be done during the Black Friday weekend.
For Black Friday, higher rebates are will be offered on 2016 vintage electric/hybrid-powered models and full-size pick-up trucks. The 2016 Nissan Leaf will have $10,825 incentives as well as $11,500 cash rebate.
Truck buyers will have as much as $6,550 cash back on a 2016 Ford F-150 full-size pickup this Black Friday sale event. The heavy-duty Nissan Titan XD will be sold at $10,000 less than the sticker price.
