'Orange is The New Black' Season 5 Spoilers, News & Update: Stars Still Filming Despite Cancellation Rumors, Poussey's Death Will Be Avenged
Despite cancellation rumors, Netflix's series, "Orange Is The New Black", fifth season is expected to return by the middle of next year, 2017. Recently, news online spread that the series will be canceled after four seasons.
With its returns, showrunners teased fans with more dramatic episodes. Since its Season 4 finale, fans of "Orange Is The New Black" have been looking forward to knowing what happens next.
A recent spoiler suggests that Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson (Danielle Brooks), will go to extreme lengths to avenge the recent death of her best friend, Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley). Poussey's death along with the death of Taystee's mother, Taystee might get pushed to her limits and make her act rashly.
Another thing fans should be excited about for Orange is The New Black's fifth season is the episode which Lauren Prepon will direct. Prepon plays the character Alex Vause on screen for the show. It will very interesting to see how well she does working from behind the character.
Fans might also remember Prepon from her recent starring role for the psychological thriller "The Girl On The Rain". Prepon is also widely-known for her role on "That 70s Show". A recent report says that Prepon is very much excited and challenged to be a director for once on "Orange Is The New Black".
On the other hand, actress Taylor Schilling, who plays the character Piper Chapman on the show, mentioned in an interview that season five might be the last for Piper. Alongside this news comes the theory/spoiler suggesting Piper Chapman's death.
No official evidence of this spoiler has been released nor presented, aside from the fact that Taylor Schilling herself hinted her exit from "Orange Is The New Black:
Given that no one is safe in Linchfield, and that Piper Chapman has made a lot of enemies during her time in the prison, this could lead to her untimely death. The spoilers suggest it could happen in a prison riot.
Other fans are hopeful that Schilling's statement only refers to her release from the prison, thus making her time in Linchfield over. No official air date has been set for "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 has been set. However, it is reported to be released in June 2017.
