A new bug is creating problems for 'iPhone' owners and it crashes the device; a five-second video freezes and locks the device per reports. It was two days back that the bug was reported and the file is coming in MP4 format. People who tested with the bug found their devices locked immediately after playing the video. It is also showed that the device gets slow after playing the five-second video bug.

While checking the five-second video bug, it is found corrupt, but within 10 seconds the phone hangs. Surprisingly, it freezes only when the video is received as a link. When it shares a video, the issue is not found with the device. The only option to get over from the crash is a hard reset by pressing the home button and power button together. Once, the phone rebooted it works quite normal without any lags.

It is also reported that some iPads also face the same issue and could be infecting the entire Apple platform. But, the five-second video bug doesn't seem to be causing any security risks per the initial analysis. A hacker won't be able to steal some information with the video bug or can create some real mess-up in the data. It is just an annoyance and users can reboot and escape from the slowness.

This is not the first time Apple phones were victims of bugs. Last year it faced issues with a string of texts disabling iMessage app created a lot of troubles and the company came with the fix in the next update. The phones also experienced issues with Safari crashes and it also quickly fixed. It is reported that Apple is aware of the issue and expected to be working for a solution and an update with the fix can be expected soon.

Users should be aware of the five-second video bug and if anyone forwards the link which seemed to be suspicious should be deleted without opening it. Apple has not yet commented on this issue on how to proceed with the links received.
