“The Flash” Movie Dealing with Directional Trouble: Could Kevin Smith Be the Answer?

It seems like "The Flash" is getting some serious directorial trouble. Many were picked to direct the DC movie but none seem to be eager enough to seal the deal. Lately, Kevin Smith was positioned among possible directors who might direct the movie.

First, it was Seth Grahame-Smith, the famous director of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, who declined to direct The Flash because of "creative differences" with Warner Bros. Another guy, Rick Famuyiwa was tapped for the job but dropped the deal afterward because of the same reason. Now, The Flash is seriously in need of a director and one of the guys who is very likely to direct the film is Kevin Smith.

In a Facebook Q&A session that Smith did recently, he was asked how he will react if ever he'll get the offer of directing The Flash, to which he gave the names of several other directors who he thinks are more capable of handling the film.

"If somebody was like 'Do you want to do The Flash movie?' then this would honestly be my first response. I'd say absolutely, but you should try Tim Miller first. Or I'd say the Wachowskis. I'd list a bunch of other people who I would think would make a brilliant Flash movie."

Tim Miller is the man behind the Deadpool movie. The Wachowskis, on the other hand, have The Matrix trilogy and Jupiter Ascending for credentials. Even if Smith is a pro when it comes to directing superhero movies, he suggests other creative individuals rather than take the film for himself.

The Flash is originally scheduled for release in March of 2018. However, the absence of a director would surely connote that its release will be delayed and scheduled to a later date. Actors Ezra Milley, Kiersey Clemons, and Billy Crudup are cast for this new movie.
