Justin Bieber is one of the  artists who would people expect to see during the 2016 American Music Awards. Unfortunately, Justin Bieber wasn't able to attend the awards show but he has something for the people which fills the gap of his absence.

Justin Bieber was reportedly wasn't able to attend the AMAs because he was in his "Purpose" world tour. He performed the "Let Me Love You" though in a televised performance and fans expected to see DJ Snake on the performance because he joined Justin Bieber last November 17. "Let Me Love You" also placed No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Justin Bieber's performance is not the only thing that got everyone's jaw dropped, according to reports, Bieber is already part of the Top 10 AMA winners of all time. Justin Bieber was able to win a total of 12 AMA over his career. He had won eight awards during the previous years with 2010 as the new artist of the year, 2010 & 2012 with favorite rock/pop album, favorite pop/rock male artist, artist of the year, and 2015 with the collaboration of the year. Now, this 2016 he won four awards and to sum it up he has a total of twelve AMA awards.

Justin Bieber is currently placed at top 7 out of the top ten list of AMA winners. Bieber and Willie Nelson occupies the place and in the case of people wonders who got the top 1, it is none other than Michael Jackson with 24 wins. According to an article, the AMA awards show was launched during the year of 1974.

Justin Bieber had won the Artist of the year this 2016 which he shared with Drake. According to reports, Drake and Bieber both took home some of the top awards and Drake was even able to break the most number of nominations in AMA, Drake had 13 nominations breaking the 11 AMA nominations of Michael Jackson.

The American Music Awards really did give their recognition to the artist who deserves it and people would be waiting for the 2017 AMA. Justin Bieber might be able to reach the top 5 the next time.
