Sony PlayStation Vue Service Debuts On Apple TV; Subscription Prices For Different Plans Here

Sony PlayStation Vue is coming to Apple TV. While Apple TV doesn't have its own streaming service, the device is clearly turning into a flexible device that allows owners to stream movies, TV shows, and access channels through different content providers. Sling TV and Netflix are already in Apple TV, and Sony's Playstation Vue is the recent additional feature in Apple TV fourth generation device.

Apple TV fourth generation Siri Remote is compatible with Sony Playstation Vue complete with touch screen features for easy navigation. Users won't be able to sign up through Apple TV, though, and will have to sign up through a web browser. Sony Playstation Vue users can stream up to 5 devices altogether, which is convenient since it is compatible with other platforms as well.

Sony Playstation Vue subscribers can also access its cloud DVR through Apple TV fourth generation device. This doesn't help with cord cutting issue but solves portability that users are thirsting for. However, Sony Playstation Vue isn't compatible with Apple TV's new app update which combines movies and TV shows across multiple streaming providers and integrates them in a destination. Sony PlayStation Vue features live sports networks such as NFL Network and ESPN, premium channels including Showtime, HBO, AMC, FX, HGTV, and much more.

Sony Playstation Vue subscription fee starts at $29.99 with four plans to choose from:

Access includes over 45 HD networks costs $29.99 monthly for basic plans and $39.99 if including local TV channels including Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, New York, and San Francisco.
Core includes over 60 HD networks with regional and national sports channels; costs $34.99 monthly while $44.99 includes local TV channels.
Elite includes over 90 HD channels costs $44.99 monthly with Core and Access Channels and other sports, movies, and entertainment channels while $54.99 if with local TV channels.
Ultra includes all 90 HD Elite networks, HBO and Showtime costs $64.99 monthly, while $74.99 if with local TV channels.

Sony PlayStation Vue announced Apple TV integration days ahead of AT&T's DirecTV Now launch. Another competitor is Sling TV of Dish Network offering $20 monthly subscriptions for 30 channels.
