After the shocking season finale of Season 6 that is so typical of “Game of Thrones”, Season 7 seems to promise even more plot twists and surprises. As further rumors are confirmed, deleted footages shown, and film progress leaked, many theories are discussed by fans across the globe as they gear up for the next season of “Game of Thrones”.

According to Inquisitr, with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) being seen filming together in the same scenes, it means that “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will bring Jon and Daenerys together for the first time.

One of the most popular theories revolving around this significant encounter is that they will fall in love and fulfill the prophecy of Azor Ahai. A venerated warrior who overcame the White Walkers on the original Long Night, Azor Ahai forged the sword Lightbringer by sacrificing his wife to integrate her soul with the steel of the sword. This sword was said to be created of fire and could defeat the White Walkers.

The popular fan theory states that Jon is the reincarnation of Azor Ahai, who will eventually kill Daenerys to fulfill the prophecy of bringing the White Walkers down with a sword. This theory was developed from another prophecy, known as “Daenerys’ Three Treasons” which foretold that Daenerys will experience three treasons: for gold, blood, and love. According to this fan theory, Daenerys will fall in love with Jon and then betrayed by him as he sacrifices her to facilitate his quest for stopping the White Walkers. Hence, fulfilling the prophecy of the love treason.

Entertainment Weekly has shared information that a deleted scene from “Game of Thrones” Season 6 was released. In this video, Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg) was riding inside a horse carriage along the streets in King’s Landing, having a conversation with her son, Mace Tyrell (Roger Ashton-Griffiths). Olenna expressed her displeasure at Mace’s lack of efforts in saving her grandchildren, Margaery (Natalie Dormer) and Loras (Finn Jones) from the High Sparrow’s prison. Mace assured his mother of his love for his children and they discussed about rescuing Margaery and Loras before leaving King’s Landing for the Sparrows and Lannisters to destroy each other.

Although the deleted scene did not indicate what Olenna will do in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 after gaining knowledge of her grandchildren’s demise, an alleged Season 7 plot leak seem to think that she will still have a role to play. The plot leak shows that Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will take over the Tyrell’s castle seat in Highgarden. Subsequently, Olenna was forced to admit to plotting the murder of King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson). Jamie then permits Olenna to take her own life by drinking poison.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will air in mid-2017, on HBO.
