Aside from Leonardo Dicaprio winning the well-deserved Best Actor Oscar Award this year, one of the best actors of all time Jackie Chan just got an Oscar too this year. Having different international and local awards this is still the first time Chan first time got an Oscar.
Jackie Chan, 62, real name is Chan Kong-sang born on April 7, 1954, at British Hongkong. At this age, Jackie Chan's been a great actor, Martial artist, screenwriter, producer, director, action choreographer, stunt director and stunt performer. He knows languages like Mandarin, Cantonese, English, also a little knowledge to language Korean, German, Spanish, Japanese and Thai.
On the event of Yearly Governors, Awards held last Sunday when Jackie Chan received an honorary Oscar for spending five decades with 200 films of work in the film industry. The Governor's award is decided by Academy's Board of Governors including the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award and the Honorary Award.
On the event of Governors Award, Jackie's Chan's co-actor at the movie "Rush Hour" name Chris Tucker presented the Honorary Award along with Tom Hanks and Michelle Yeoh.
"I want to thank all my fans around the world because you're the reason I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching [and] breaking my bones," Jackie Chan's testimony before receiving a standing ovation from the audience. "Thank you so much!" Chan happily stated.
Jackie Chan's considered as one of the best actor internationally, from the amazing acrobatic fighting style on the movies that he performed also the fact that Chan's doing his own dangerous stunts, seeing the natural iconic acting of Chan on comedy series that everyone had a good laugh and the drama acting he performs is one defining roles too.
23 years ago when Jackie Chan met with Sylvester Stallone and saw Sylvester Oscar Award and got inspired by it told himself "I really want one" and now he got one!
